The Village of Oswego held a groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday for its new Public Works facility.

“This project is truly a long time coming,” said Village President Ryan Kauffman. “As Oswego continues to grow, so do the demands on infrastructure and the service that keep our community running smoothly every single day.”

“This new facility represents an investment not just in buildings and equipment,” said Kauffman, “but in the people who make sure Oswego functions at its best. It’s about efficiency, safety, and preparing our Village for the future that we know is coming.”

“This new facility is about supporting those employees and give them the space, equipment, and resources they need to do their job safely and efficiently,” said Village Public Works Director Curt Cassidy. “This new facility will help position us for the future and allow us to continue providing the level of service our residents expect.”

The Public Works Expansion Project was awarded to the Frederick Quinn Corporation in Addison and is estimated to cost around $24,395,180.
