Oswego Approves HomeGoods development

The Village had to amend the ordinance because of the request for more space from the original 17,000 square feet to 25,000 square feet. Currently, the property is vacant and backs up to the Steeplechase at Churchill Club subdivision. Both Village staff and the Planning and Zoning Commission (an 8-0 vote) recommended the approval.
“I just wanted to … really acknowledge and thank them [HomeGoods] so much for investing in our community,” said Village Board Trustee Rachelle Koenig. “It’s a huge investment. It is not lost on me for sure that this is a huge investment, and we really appreciate the fact that you’re putting a home here in Oswego, and we’ll welcome you.”
