Discussion of rezoning the old Traughber School site in Oswego is on the agenda for Thursday night’s Planning and Zoning Commission meeting.
The staff report says that the applicant is requesting consideration of rezoning the site to an R-5 multiple unit dwelling district. The report says that rezoning the site would allow for 162 residential units.
Currently, the 12-acre property, which is at the northeast corner of Route 71 and Washington Street, is zoned as an R-2 single-unit dwelling district. The area is currently surrounded by single family homes, commercial businesses and a nursing facility.
The discussion item will be second in the public hearings portion of the agenda.
The PZC meeting is at 7:00 p.m. at Village Hall, located at 100 Parkers Mill in Oswego. The meeting can be seen online at oswegoil.org.
